History Of

Orthodontics

Attempts to straighten teeth have been found as far back as 1000 BC. The father of modern day orthodontics, Edward H. Angle, began a school of orthodontics in Pasadena, California, during the early 1900’s. Before Dr. Angle, orthodontics dealt with straightening teeth only, not much consideration was given to how the teeth fit and functioned together.
